MAINTENANCE PLANNING

ESS aids in mitigating the challenges with new and emerging policy requirements regarding electrical safety. A site review must be evaluated first.
An understanding of the severity of Arc Flash Hazards must be reviewed.
An arc flash risk assessment should be determined, and proper labeling should be installed.
The facility qualified workers must be identified and defined.
Proper Arc Flash PPE guidelines must be reviewed and acquired.
Accurate single-line diagrams must be reviewed and updated.
General maintenance requirements must be set.
Labeling and hazard communication procedures must be determined and communicated.
The protection scheme design and operational assessment must be reviewed and updated.
A Short-circuit coordination study must be implemented.
And finally, a proactive and preventive electrical maintenance program must be developed and initiated.

ELECTRICAL TESTING

Electrical testing of equipment and systems ensures your equipment and systems are operational, and within applicable standards and manufacturers published tolerances and are installed in accordance with design specifications. Electrical testing standards were developed in order to guide personnel in specifying and performing the necessary tests to ensure those systems and apparatus perform satisfactorily, minimizing downtime, and maximizing life expectancy. ENGINEERING STUDIES

ESS provides arc flash calculations as required by the NFPA-70E standard for electrical equipment. Labeling electrical equipment is commonly used to appropriately define safety margins as recommended by OSHA and NFPA-70E which allows qualified workers understand potential electrical hazards and determine the correct personal protective equipment required to work safely. PHOTOVOLTAIC CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

A combination of factors contributes towards reducing the efficiency of PV (Photo Voltaic) units. To protect your investment, maximize cost savings and maintain aesthetic appeal for your PV systems, frequent inspections and cleaning are highly encouraged. ESS provides cleaning, and maintenance services for all Photovoltaic/solar equipment to ensure clients realize the full potential of their PV systems. Scope of work include

Preventative maintenance checks which include the following.

Monitor output Efficiency
Visual inspection of Panel units (Glass, wiring, inverter) for damage
Inspection of signage for damage
Inspection of framework for signs of damage, warping or corrosion
Structural integrity of solar modules and arrays
Tests operating voltages: calibrate to ensure systems are within acceptable power limits.
